ive got a new Snorkel mask and need to defog it..any sugg’s on how to do it..?
You may not like this but it’s the best way,! Spit in it and smear it around on the entire glass then rinse it with water just before going under.ZAP! the fog is gone!

Agree with the previous posts: spit is a pretty good de-fogger.
Otherwise, there’s commercial defoggers sold in dive shops that you could use…

You did mentioned that is a new mask. All new masks come with a very thin film of a protectant for the lense that must be removed. If you dont remove the film no amount of defogg or spit will stop the fogging.
I recomend toothpaste. Toothpaste is a mild abrasive that will help you remove the film from the lens. Rub it on the lenses (inside and out) vigorously and then rinse it off. Do this a couple of times and the film should be gone. After that there is no better anti fog agent than spit, Its free and works every time.
Just in case you dont know how to properly do it: rinse the mask in the water before the dive, then spit on the inside lenses, rub it on the lenses and then rinse it off with the water again, and immediatelly tkae the plunge to dive and enjoy.
Happy diving.
