Is there a difference between fins for snorkeling and body boarding?

I have fins for Snorkeling, I was wondering if I could use it for body boarding effectively.

I’m a body boarder and a free diver. Snorkeling Fins are longer and more flimsy that could push more water with ease. Body boarding fins are Stiffer and shorter and are meant for quick burst of power and can stabilize yourself on a wave.

Still confused about snorkeling in Cozumel?

No, the snorkeling fins are too long (assuming they’re real snorkeling fins not cheap ones) and will cause a lot of drag in the waves, and if the wave crashes over those fins you’re done
