Can I snorkel if I dont know swimming at all?
Hi, I dont know swimming. Absolutely can’t swim. I am going to hawaii and wish to snorkel. Can I snorkel? Please advise.
reconsider your plans – you will only put your own life and those of your fellow snorkelers in danger if you enter the water without the proper swimming skills. go for swimming lessons and then book that Snorkelling trip.

When I went snorkeling down in the Caribbean I wore a life jacket even though I know how to swim. I think with the tides of the ocean it is probably a good idea to wear a life jacket unless you are an extremely advanced swimmer.

Probably not. I mean you can put on the mask, and breath through the tube, but you have to float or swim to see anything. Perhaps they will have some kind of "lifevest" type of thing you can wear (however, most life vests are designed to keep your head out of the water so you can breath if you were knocked out). To be safe, you’ll probably need some type of flotation.

Don’t even try! Knowledge in swimming is a prerequisite for any water sports.
