a new diving set up for warm and cold climates please help?
i am not totally new to diving about 1 year and 40 dives and now i’m looking to buy my first set up after a bad experience with some rentals. i don’t think i need a new wet suite because i surf but i am looking for new: regulators with a first and second stage, fins, mask and Snorkel, BCD and hoses.
please could you give me some help on makes where to buy either internet or local and of course how much i should be looking to spend
thank you
you can get packages for as low as $300, or as expensive as 6 to 7 grand. remember though, you get what you pay for, and you are paying for your life support system, so keep that in mind. for warm climates, you can get away with just a tank, bcd, and reg/guage setup (and weights/lights, ect). cold water, depends on what you are calling cold. i have a 7mm one peice, hood, mittens, posideon cold water reg for the real cold stuff. for the very cold waters, drysuit and thermals are standard. below is a link for the package above.
